Kerr Dam is a former name of the Salish-Kootenai Dam which is a concrete gravity-arch dam with height of 62 meters and length of 165 meters. The dam was built in 1930 and opened to use in 1938. Kerr Dam located at river mile 72 of the Flathead River in Flathead Indian Reservation, Lake County, Montana, USA and it covers the surface area of 496 square kilometers. It is a power station with annual generation of 1,100,000,000 KWh. By an installed capacity of 194 MW, the dam can provide enough power for about 147,000 residents and can generate annual revenue over $9 million for the tribes.
